Born on the Island of St Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands and raised in Atlanta Ga, Chef Holly Smith continues the Tradition of Great Southern and Caribbean inspired cooking with a twist by incorporating other cultures like Asian, Latin American, and African. Chef Holly was introduced to her passion for cooking by her Father “Big Jake Eddie Smith” who owned a small restaurant on the Island of St. Thomas many years ago known as “Big Jakes” Chef Holly decided to pursue a career in the social sciences and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of the Virgin Islands. But, food was always her passion. So, Chef Holly enrolled in the International Culinary School at the Art Institutes of Atlanta and received a Associates in the Culinary Arts. Moreover, Chef Holly has work as Chef for Gladys Knight Chicken and Waffles, and catered for several corporation and small business like Warner Brothers Studios, Tree Sounds Studios, Mike Epps in conjunction with the Tupac Amaru Shakur Arts Center Foundation in Atlanta, several Private Families, and much more.
Annette is a dedicated mother of three and a proud grandmother of four from Birmingham, AL. She relocated to Atlanta twenty- nine years ago with the dream, hope and desire of being an entrepreneur. Although she worked in the health care industry she always had a passion for decorating, putting colors, schemes and themes together. Over ten years ago she began doing functions such as birthday parties, weddings and private dinners for family and friends. That led to her starting her own business and fulfilling her dream of entrepreneurship. Today she is proud to be the lead designer for Phenomenal Food by Chef Holly. When asked what she loves most about being a part of this team Annette said, “I love being able to take a client’s concept or theme and with my natural ability making it a reality.”
